Occupancy Limits
The Board of Directors has established maximum occupancy limits depending upon apartment size as follows:- One bedroom apartment - no more than two (2) adults.
- Two bedroom apartment - no more than two (2) adults and two (2) children.
- Three-bedroom apartment - no more than six (6) persons, at least two of whom must be children.
The above occupancy limits exist for the full term of ownership of the apartment with the exception of natural, after born children and adopted children.
Moving Procedures
Moving in or out of the buildings must be done during normal business hours, which are Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. Moving cannot be done on holidays.
One week's advance notice of your move-in/move-out date should be given to the management office by calling (718) 261-9888 during business hours. This is important so the staff can prepare the elevator with protective padding and can ensure only one move is scheduled at a time.
All moves must be made through the basement even if the move is to or from a first-floor apartment.
Alterations
All renovations and alterations require filing of a signed alternation agreement with the Management Office. A copy of the alternation agreement can be obtained from the Management Office. Shareholders can download a PDF copy of the agreement from the Residents section of this website.
Carpeting
The floors of each apartment must be covered with rugs or carpeting to the extent of at least 80 percent of the floor area of each chamber except for kitchens, pantries, bathrooms, and closets.
Pets
Forest Hills South® does not allow pets.
Sublets
Forest Hills South does not allow shareholders to sublet apartments.
