Corporate Governance

Forest Hills South Owners, Inc. has a seven-member Board of Directors, elected to one-year terms annually by the shareholders. Active shareholder involvement in the workings of the co-op is welcomed and encouraged. The full Board meets monthly 11 times per year, and the Annual Meeting and election of directors traditionally takes place in November.

Shareholders are welcome to attend and observe the open sessions of board meetings. Highlights of the board meetings are published and posted after each session and describe any Board actions taken.

The Board is assisted by several active committees made up of resident volunteers who work on finance, quality of life, security,maintenance and planning issues, as well as admissions. These committees provide a way for interested residents to contribute their talents and energy to improving their community.
